This book is from the My First Greek Myths series. Like other books in this collection, it presents a very simplified version of the myth written in rhyming verse, although the original Greek is much better than the chunky English translation. The myth of Hercules’ twelve labors works very well in this format. Children six months and up will enjoy this book immensely, although not necessarily for the story. There are five interactive features that are perfect for the youngest pre readers to practice their fine motor skills, and the construction is sturdy enough to be safe for baby fingers. — Krishni Burns
