“Fresh off their win over the Titans, the Gods are riding high— but those always-pesky Mortals think they just might be able to bring them crashing to earth.”

Mount Olympus Basketball imagines a truly epic basketball game between the Olympian gods and a team of mortal heroes, riotously narrated by a duo of “toga clad announcers.” A halftime review of ancient Greek culture adds some nice educational context. Mythology fans will love catching the many in-jokes, references, and cameos. My personal favorite was Hercules’ cowardly cousin Eurystheus in the role of an easily intimidated referee, but Prometheus serving an “eternal team suspension” was a close second. Written to be both hilarious and educational, this book will appeal to young sports fans and mythology lovers alike. – Krishni Burn
