This is a search and find book like Where’s Waldo, but aimed at a younger audience. The two main characters, Marcia and Rita, are traveling through time and need to find certain items to fuel their time machine. Young readers explore different locations in the Roman empire with them and help them find the things that they need in each place. Along the way, they visit all kinds of different places, including the Coliseum, some Roman baths, a theater, and the senate, all filled with funny and adorable little Roman figures. Readers who don’t know any Spanish can also enjoy the search and find aspect of this book, even if they miss out on the story. The things to find are divided up into fáciles, difíciles e imposibles, so very young readers can have the fun of finding some things, but slightly older readers will still have a challenge. There’s a short educational explanation on each page to get kids interested in learning more about Roman culture, and a “¿Sabías que…?” (Did you know…) section at the end with extra fun facts. It’s a great way to get kids interested in ancient Roman culture from a very young age. – Krishni Burns
